Nick Cannon, Father of 12, Insures His Balls for $10 Million
Nick Cannon is not ready to get snipped.
In fact, the comedian—who is dad to 12 kids with six different women—said his family still has room to grow after former NFL player Channing Crowder jokingly told him that he "needs to think about" getting a vasectomy.
"Feel like this is an intervention," Nick quipped on the March 17 episode of his We Playin' Spades podcast, before acknowledging that undergoing the procedure would be "the responsible thing to do."
But, as he 44-year-old noted, "I'm not done."
"Why not?" Nick continued when co-host Courtney Bee said she couldn't believe how he wants more children. "I leave it to the Lord."
Besides, the Nickelodeon alum pointed out that his balls have been insured for $10 million.
"That's precious cargo," he joked. "That's why I said my work is not done."
However, Nick does have one regret when it comes to, um, his family jewels. As he told E! News last year, the $10 million dollar insurance policy "wasn't enough."
"Should've been $12 million," he said. "One for each kid."
The Drumline actor added, "I gotta make sure my kids are taken care of when my manhood no longer works."
For Nick, his blended brood is simply a blessing.
"As much as I was open to every single child that I have, I can't say the majority of them were planned," he shared in a 2023 episode of The Language of Love with Dr. Laura Berman. "If you would have told me in 2012 when I was still married and just diagnosed with Lupus that 10 years from now, that I would have 12 children, I'd be like there is no way in the world that I would ever plan that or that would happen."

Nick—who was married to Mariah Carey from 2008 to 2016—continued, "It's almost like when you have these manifestations or visions, if that's what you want to call them, it's like 'Oh, that all makes sense now.'"
While he's "contemplated deeply" about getting a vasectomy, Nick said he just can't close the door on "God's miracles."
As he put it, "The more the merrier. We roll the dice to the name and what you will build."

However, just five months after the arrival of their son, Nick shared the devastating news that Zen had passed away from brain cancer. "Alyssa was just the strongest woman I have ever seen," he said on the Dec. 7 episode of The Nick Cannon Show. "Never had an argument, never was angry. She was emotional when she needed to be but was always the best mom and continues to be the best mom possible. So I've got to say thank you to my entire family but specifically to Alyssa."
"You never know what someone is going through," he added. "Hug your family. Kiss somebody. Tell them you love them."

I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!"
