Justin Theroux and Nicole Brydon Bloom Are Engaged!

Justin Theroux and Nicole Brydon Bloom pulled out all the stops for their big day.

After the couple announced they had tied the knot in a ceremony in Mexico March 15, the newlyweds detailed their special day, which took place over the course of several days at the Hotel Esencia alongside celebrity pals like Paul Rudd, Beanie Feldstein and Ben Stiller.

As Nicole, 30, told Vogue in an article published March 17, “We wanted our friends and family to have a taste of our dream weekend in the Mayan Riviera paradise.”

The occasion included a beach bonfire to kick off the festivities March 13 and a stereotypical cocktail hour the evening before the big day on a rooftop terrace, complete with speeches from the couple’s close friends and family.

“Many tears were shed,” the Paradise actress gushed, “and we were overwhelmed with gratitude for the people who have made such a huge impact on our lives, both as individuals and as a couple.”

And the March 15 ceremony itself was even more emotional. The couple exchanged vows at around 5 p.m., just off the beach to avoid the strong winds by the water. But Justin, 53, opted to keep the specific details of their nuptials private.

“All I’ll say is, it was wonderful,” the Mulholland Drive alum said. “Ceremonies with vows are about the words contained within them. And they are better left un-described here. That being said, the officiant said some wonderful things, and my wife was just—well, incredibly touching. I was very moved.”

Meanwhile, Justin’s celebrity pals made the weekend even more memorable. Jimmy Kimmel, a groomsman, notably came in the wrong color suit for the weekend, and was forced to stand in the back row for photos. Justin playfully recalled, “It’s absurd because he’s on TV every night wearing exactly what I wanted him to wear.”

And the Ant-Man star also made a memorable splash at the event by lip-synching “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

All in all, it was

the perfect weekend. As Nicole put it, “I kept saying I felt so at peace and so loved all weekend.”
