Universal Pictures announced that Maika Monroe is set to star in the film adaptation of Reminders of Him, based on Colleen Hoover's 2022 novel of the same name.

Colleen Hoover's next film adaptation has finally revealed its star.
Maika Monroe will play the lead role in the Reminders of Him movie, which was adapted from the bestselling author’s 2022 novel of the same name, Universal Pictures confirmed to E! News March 18.
The Longlegs actress will take on the role of Kenna Rowan, a young mother recently released from prison who is trying to reunite with her 4-year-old daughter in daughter in the film, which was first announced in October and is set for a Feb. 13, 2026 release.
And those aren’t the only details that have been uncovered about the upcoming adaptation. Vanessa Caswill is set to direct the film, while Colleen and Lauren Levine are writing the screenplay. Colleen and Lauren are also producing the film through their production company, Heartbones Entertainment, alongside Gina Matthews, who is producing through Little Engine Productions. Plus,
Robin Fisichella will serve as executive producer.
E! News has reached out to reps for Colleen and Maika for comment but has not heard back.
Hoover has been busy getting several adaptations in the works over the past year. After all, an adaptation of Regretting You is set to hit theaters in October of this year and will begin filming soon, though the film is still rounding out its cast.
Additionally, the movie adaptation of Verity, which is set to be released in 2026, has already started filming, and fans recently caught a glimpse as stars Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett were spotted filming in New York.

As for how the Verity film—directed by Michael Showalter—will live up to the 2018 novel? Colleen hinted that it will be well worth the wait.
"I just read the script," she said on an August episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I’m super excited about it."
