Christine Quinn’s Estranged Husband Charged With Assault and Child Abuse

Christine Quinn is sharing her truth.

Almost one year since the Selling Sunset alum’s husband Christian Dumontet filed for divorce—which occurred one month after he was arrested over an alleged domestic dispute at their home—Christine is opening up about her experiences within their marriage.

Including, she says, being allegedly locked out of her bank accounts, credit cards and email account after she left their shared Los Angeles home.

“People really don't know this,” she told People in an interview published March 18. “I was hacked out of my entire life. I was stripped of my entire life overnight—I literally had nothing. And it was dehumanizing. I was completely resourceless.”

Christine—who shares son Christian Georges, 3, with her ex—claims that she ended up staying in a hotel and “couch surfing” in friends’ homes in L.A. before her move to Texas with her son because Christian allegedly kept returning to their previously shared home.

“I really didn't have a choice,” she explained. “I was granted an emergency protective order so my ex couldn't come to the house. He violated that and would keep coming back.”

The 36-year-old also says that there had been issues in her marriage prior to the March 2024 domestic dispute.

“Everyone sees the incident that occurred, but this is something that had been going on for a while,” she said. “It was extremely unhealthy.”

Christine also claims Christian used to “lay himself under” her car to prevent her going to work. “I would sit for an hour until I finally missed a meeting and gave up and would go back inside,” she recalled. “Or he would shut the gates down so I couldn't leave. It was bad."

E! News has reached out to reps for Christian for comment but has not yet heard back.

The real estate professional—who said she thinks of herself as “extremely resilient”—also detailed what it took to finally get her to leave her marriage.

“There are certain things that I could tolerate, and it got to a point where it was affecting my son, and that wasn't okay,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Okay, I can deal with

this, I'm an adult.’ But bringing him into the chaos and everything that kind of ensued, I was like, ‘No, this is not okay.’”

Now, since moving to Dallas, Texas, with her son earlier this year, Christine says she’s in a better place.

“I am really, really grateful to be living here,” she said, calling it a blessing to be closer to her family. “I have a sister who lives really close to me, and my son has a cousin. So it's really something that I needed as opposed to the chaos when I was in Los Angeles.”

"Christine, I met you in Beverly Hills not even a year ago and I absolutely fell head over heels in love with you," he said. "We were literally in the car and we had an instant banter, which is really special. You don't get that too often."

Legal Trouble

Dumontet was arrested on March 19 and booked on assault with a deadly weapon following a call involving a domestic dispute, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to E! News.

A day later, he was arrested again for returning to the family's home despite Quinn being granted an emergency protective order.

In a March 26 court filing, Dumontet denied Quinn's accusations against him, stating there had "never been incidents of domestic violence within the relationship."

Divorce

Dumontet filed for divorce in early April, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup. In court documents obtained by E! News, he requested sole legal and physical custody of their son and asked the court to prohibit Quinn from receiving spousal support.
