The shocking story of Natalia Grace is coming to the small screen in the upcoming limited series Good American Family. The dramatization stars Imogen Faith Reid as Natalia Grace, with Ellen Pompeo and Mark Duplass portraying Kristine and Michael Barnett, Natalia’s adoptive parents. The series also stars Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks and Dulé Hill.

Good American Family premieres on Wednesday, March 19 with the first two episodes dropping on Hulu. More episodes will be released on the following Wednesdays, until the series finale on April 30.

Good American Family Plot, True Story

Good American Family is based on the true story of Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian-born American with dwarfism who was adopted by the Barnett family in 2010. Although Natalia Grace was seven years old at the time, the Barnetts believed her to be an adult lying about her age.

The ensuing drama was also explored in the documentary series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace, which is currently in its third season.
