This year’s Dundie Award for “cutest merch” goes to the Polly Pocket’s latest collectible release, a mug-shaped playset featuring the set of The Office (along with mini versions of the fictional paper company’s most beloved employees). Released ahead of the mockumentary’s highly-anticipated spinoff, and the 2025 Toy Fair taking place in New York next month, this limited-edition compact is available online now.

Available online at Amazon, Target and Mattel’s website, Polly Pocket’s The Office compact playset ($50) is a part of Universal and NBC’s 20th anniversary of the beloved sitcom. Featuring the whole Scranton, Pennsylvania-based team as tiny dolls (Michael, Pam, Dwight, Jim Kevin and Kelly), the compact (when packed up) is shaped like Michael Scott’s “World’s Bests Boss” mug, and houses six locations including Michael’s office, the main floor, the break room, the conference room and more.

Keen-eyed fans will spot several Easter eggs from iconic moments in the series in the accessories, from Dwight’s pumpkin head prank, to a Dundie Award trophy, Kevin’s spilt chili, Dwight’s stapler stuck in Jell-O from Jim’s prank, Pam’s painting of the Dunder Mifflin building, the trashcan “fire”, and prison Mike’s bandana. Of course, the set also includes palm-sized versions of the building sign that instantly turned the Scranton

branch into the “Michael Scott Paper Company”, and Dwight’s sad, deflated balloons paired with the basic “It Is Your Birthday” sign (a GIF that I still send to all my friends every year on their birthdays).

This exclusive toy set comes off the heels of a new series based on The Office being picked up by Peacock (along with a resurgence in viewership after being added to the streamer, which has been releasing “Superfan Episodes” including never-before-seen footage and deleted scenes from the original series). Unlike a reboot or spin-off, the the upcoming mockumentary show will feature a new cast set in the same universe, and original show creators Greg Daniels and Michael Koman have confirmed that Oscar Nuñez will reprise his role as accountant Oscar Martinez.

At the end of the original series, Oscar was running for a state Senate seat in Pennsylvania, and the still untitled follow-up (potentially called The Paper), will see a documentary crew following the publisher and staff of a historic, struggling Midwestern newspaper. But if you’re looking for more merch from the original show, there’s no shortage of limited-edition collectibles, from Funko Pop figures to Dunder Mifflin tees, and World’s Best Boss mugs you can actually drink out of.

“Running away from your responsibilities has never felt so good!”, so while The Office fans wait for the new series on the small series, rewatch past episodes of the U.S. series on Peacock and shop the limited-edition Polly Pocket set at AmazonTarget and Mattel.
