Disney Alum Skai Jackson Shares New Photo of Her Baby
The sky’s the limit for Skai Jackson in her next chapter as a mom.
The Disney Channel alum has embraced many new milestones after welcoming her first child, a baby boy named Kasai, in January.
“There's so many favorite moments,” Skai, 22, exclusively told E! News on the Essence Black Women in Hollywood red carpet Feb. 27. “I feel like just seeing my baby every day.”
The Jessie actress continued, “It's just an amazing moment seeing them grow each day by each day.”
Though her motherhood journey is still just beginning, Skai has already learned some vital lessons. As the Shereos star told E!, “I've learned just how strong I am in this process of being a young mom.”
And while Skai’s admits it can be “a lot” for her to balance motherhood with her career—recently made her red carpet return at the NAACP Image Awards Creative Honors on Feb. 21 and hosted a Young, Gifted, & Black panel—she is up for the challenge.
“Being a mom and getting back to work, that's another favorite thing of mine,” she shared. “I have a lot of support and help, it's been so amazing, so I'm able to balance both of it.”
Back in November, Skai revealed she was expecting her first child and expressed excitement for her newest role.
“I’m thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life–embracing motherhood and driving into new acting projects," the Bunk’d actress told People at the time. "My heart is so full!"

The actress went on to debut her growing baby bump at the Dec. 10 premiere of her latest film The Man in the White Van. But before welcoming her bundle of joy in January, Skai had time to prep by drawing inspiration from her own mother Kiya Cole.
“She has inspired me so much, just her worst ethic alone,” she explained to E! News, “and just seeing everything that she did for me to get me here in this position.”
Kiya previously told Premiere Plus in 2014 about quitting her job when her daughter was young to focus on managing Skai’s acting career, eventually booking many modeling gigs and roles—most notably the Band-Aid commercials and The Smurfs—that led to her breakout role in the Disney Channel show Jessie.

“She was a young mom as well,” Skai added. “I've learned so much from her, so many amazing tips, and I feel like I'm incorporating that now into my daily regimen.”
So, what’s next for her? The Dancing With the Stars alum quipped, “I'm just ready to get back to work and show everyone what I've been working on.”
