Following the 2025 Oscars, Selma Blair’s handsome plus-one was met with overwhelming amounts of attention and affection at the Vanity Fair after-party in Los Angeles on March 2.
Oscars 2025: Selma Blair’s Service Dog Steals the Show at Vanity Fair After-Party
Selma Blair’s plus-one to the Oscars after-party stole everyone’s hearts.
Following the 97th Academy Awards, hosted by Conan O’Brien at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, the Cruel Intentions star walked the red carpet at the Vanity Fair after-party with a special guest by her side. Indeed, she was joined by her handsome service dog Scout, who received an abundance of attention and cuddles from swooning A-listers.
For the March 2 party, Selma—who shares son Arthur Saint Bleick, 13, with ex Jason Bleick—donned a strapless black sequined gown with a row of white flowers lining the top of the bodice. And to add a bit more sparkle, she added a dainty diamond necklace and bracelet as well as a pair of sheer black crosshatch pumps. As for her furry friend? Well, he kept it all natural with his shining golden-brown fur, though the actress did try to attach a little black bow onto his collar while making their way down the carpet.
And once celebrations came to an end, the Hellboy actress reposted pictures of various stars—including Chrissy Teigen, Laverne Cox and Michael Keaton—going as far as dropping to the floor to spend some quality time with the popular Scout.
The duo’s fabulous outing comes amid the 52-year-old’s ongoing health challenges, including a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis (MS). But since going into remission in 2021, Selma has shared some positive updates on her road to recovery.

“I’m feeling really well,” Selma told E! News in November. “I do have to remember to rest sometimes, but it’s hard when you get excited about things. But I’m doing really well.”
In fact, the Legally Blonde actress went on to express just how much she cherishes being able to reunite with her friends and colleagues at events and red carpets.

“I love to be included with all these wonderful people, you know even that I come out now—there was a long spell none of us were really getting out, or weren’t feeling well,” she continued. “So to be out again, it is a celebration. And I love
seeing people happy and celebrated. The air feels different, people seem to be really excited right now. I’m just drinking it all in.”
