Oscars 2025: How Demi Moore Reacted to Mikey Madison’s Best Actress Win

Demi Moore thinks her fellow nominee has the substance.

The Ghost star had the sweetest reaction to Mikey Madison winning the Best Actress in a Leading Role award at the 2025 Oscars for her performance in Anora. (To see every star who took home a trophy at the 2025 Oscars, click here.)

In fact, when the Anora actress—who, in addition to the G.I. Jane actress, beat out Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón and Fernanda Torres for the grand prize—gave a special shoutout to the other women in her category, Demi made sure to show her appreciation from the audience with a touching gesture.

"I also just want to recognize the thoughtful, intelligent, beautiful, breathtaking work of my fellow nominees," Mikey said while on stage March 2. "I'm honored to be recognized alongside all of you."

After the heartfelt mention, Demi—wearing a custom silver Armani Privé dress—was seen placing both of her hands on her heart and smiling earnestly while sitting in the crowd.

This isn't the first time Mikey sang her praises for her fellow nominees. Last month, Mikey took home the trophy for Best Lead Actress at the 2025 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) and she shared a heartwarming message for the other actresses who were in the running for the statue.

"To my fellow nominees, I’m just so in awe of all of you," Mikey said on a stage Feb. 16. "You gave beautiful performances, and the highlight of all of this has been getting to know all of you."

And Demi—who earned the best lead actress honor at this year's Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards—had echoed the Better Things alum's sentiment while making her own acceptance speeches, sharing that other actors have been her "greatest teachers" throughout her career.

"I am so, so grateful that I have continued over these so many years to try," Demi added at the 2025 SAGs Feb. 23, "and to sometimes succeed and sometimes fail, but be able to keep going."
