Kris Jenner Details “Controversial” Pregnancies With Kendall and Kylie Jenner After Miscarriages
Kris Jenner has gone through life on her own terms.
The matriarch of the Kardashian-Jenner family—who shares Kourtney Kardashian, 45, Kim Kardashian, 44, Khloe Kardashian, 40, Rob Kardashian, 37, with the late Robert Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, 29, and Kylie Jenner, 37, with ex Caitlyn Jenner—reflected on what it was like bringing her two youngest into the world in her forties.
"It was almost whispered about,” Kris told Khloe on the latest episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast. “Like, taboo. Like, ‘She’s 40? And she’s going to have a baby? Is she nuts?’"
"And then it was, obviously, safe to have babies at that age, but everybody thought there was also some danger to it," she added. "Like, ‘What’s going on? How could she have a baby in her 40s? Aren’t all her eggs gone?’ It was very controversial."
The Kardashians star—who has been dating Corey Gamble since 2014—also reflected on some of the heartbreak she experienced while growing her family.
"I got pregnant right away and then had a miscarriage. But I also had a miscarriage right before Robert was born, so, at a couple months. Right before I got pregnant with Rob, I had a miscarriage," Kris shared. "And then I had a miscarriage right before Kendall. So when I got pregnant with Kendall, we were really trying because I thought, ’This isn’t taking me down! I will show my body!’ It’s almost like a challenge to get pregnant."
As the momager recalled, she "would do whatever it took to try and get pregnant"
at the time, even if it meant adhering to "all these little old wives' tales" to get there.

"I was laser-focused," Kris explained. "And if I read something that said, ‘Drink ice tea,’ or ‘Take Pepto Bismol,’ or ‘have three coffees,’ or whatever somebody’s recommendation was."
For the 69-year-old's quest to get pregnant was based on her lifelong desire to fulfill her "dream" of having six children.

"I would think about it day and night, I had things planned out in my head," Kris remembered of growing up. "That was my goal in life, to get married and to be able to raise a family, have six kids and live happily ever after."
Though she's not sure why she was so intent on having a family of that size, she attributes some of the reasoning to growing up in the '50s.
"I don't know where and when I got inspired, but I was watching Leave It to Beaver and I Love Lucy and all those shows, and you just saw your future," Kris explained, "and your life as more traditional in those days."
