Aryna Sabalenka is locking in.
The athlete, who currently holds the Women’s Tennis Association’s world No. 1 ranking in women’s singles, revealed how she’s getting her head in the game as she prepares to play for her first title of 2025 at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, Calif.
“Honestly, I’m so focused on tennis,” Aryna exclusively told E! News’ Francesca Amiker at the WTA’s Female Trailblazers event in Los Angeles Feb. 28. “So all of my goals, all of my dreams [are] all about tennis.”
Because even with her world-class status, the three-time Grand Slam champion is always looking to push herself further.
“The main goal is to get better every day and fight for it every day,” she continued, “and leave everything you have every time you're out there.”
With so many female tennis icons like Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova and Billie Jean King to hit the court
before her, Aryna has had no shortage of trailblazing women to take notes from on her way to the top.
“I've been looking up to all of them,” the 26-year-old shared. “I was trying to see what I can get from each of them. All of them were inspirations for me and to be an inspiration for the next generation also means a lot for me.”
In fact, Aryna’s determination comes from her own desire to build a strong future for herself.

“I want to build something big and I want to build something good,” she said. “So one day when I have a family, my family [is] going to be proud of me.”
And as for other women looking to break barriers in their own fields, Aryna wasn’t afraid to serve some hard-hitting advice.
“Ignore others,” she said. “Just focus on yourself and don’t listen to people, listen to your heart. If you love what you do and if you love what you want to achieve, just go for it.”
