Céline Dion Warns Fans About "Fake" AI Music

Céline Dion’s 14-Year-Old Twin Sons Look Grown Up in Rare Appearance

Céline Dion believes the music will go on, but only on her terms.

The “I Drove All Night” singer shared a definitive statement online slamming social media users who have allegedly released unauthorized versions of her music.

“It has come to our attention,” the March 7 Instagram statement read, “that unsanctioned, AI-generated music purporting to contain Céline Dion’s musical performances, and name and likeness, is currently circulating online and across various Digital Service Providers.”

The disclaimer continued, “Please be advised that these recordings are fake and not approved, and are not songs from her official discography.”

And this is not the first time the “My Heart Will Go On” singer has issued a strong statement when it comes to protecting her music. In August, she shared her thoughts on then-presidential nominee Donald Trump using her song at a campaign event.

“Today, Céline Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Céline Dion singing ‘My Heart Will Go On,’” the Instagram statement read. “In no way is this use authorized, and Céline Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.”

She even quipped, “…And really, THAT song?”

Céline last released new original songs in 2023 for the movie Love Again and has since published a companion album for her 2024 documentary I Am: Céline Dion, though those recordings were of her biggest hits.

While new music for the 56-year-old has been rare since she revealed her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome in 2022, Céline did make a triumphant return to performing when she sang “Hymne à l’amour” live from the Eiffel Tower as part of the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremonies.

“I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities!” she wrote to Instagram following her July performance. “Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance.”

She added, “All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you! You should all be so proud, we know how hard you have worked to be the best of the best. Stay focused, keep going, my heart is with you!”

But the Olympics wasn’t the only recent performance for the Canadian singer. In fact, Céline—who is mom to 14-year-old twin sons Nelson and Eddy with late husband René Angélilsang a snippet of one of her most popular songs while being interviewed at a TGL golf match in Florida March 4, which she attended with her sons.
