Alix Earle Breaks Silence on Her Podcast Getting Dropped by Alex Cooper's Company
Alix Earle fans are tuned in.
After multiple outlets reported on February 25 that her Hot Mess podcast had been dropped from Alex Cooper's Unwell podcast network, Earle, 24, confirmed the news with a slight change to her Instagram—and it didn't take long for people to notice.
While the Hot Mess Instagram bio used to tag Cooper’s network in its bio, it now reads, "Get real with @alix_earle."
Two weeks before Earle’s update, multiple outlets reported that SiriusXM—who announced a content partnership with Cooper in August—would stop selling ads for Hot Mess and that the Network had renounced all rights to the podcast.
Shortly after, the Miami-based influencer shared that she was just as confused by the news as fans, sharing in a TikTok on Feb. 28, "Obviously, there's been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work. And I also have no idea what's going on."
The Hot Mess podcast premiered under Unwell shortly after Cooper, 30, launched the network in August 2023. At the time, the Call Her Daddy host shared that she signed Earle, as well as TikToker Madeline Argy, to the network due to their unique voices on other content platforms.
“I’m so excited to announce the first of many creators in the Unwell Network’s family,” Cooper told Variety at the time. “Alix Earle and Madeline Argy both have a unique presence that captivates an audience… I feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish.”

And as for what’s next for Earle now that she’s not part of the Unwell Network? For now, it seems like joining the Barstool Sports network may be off the table.
After all, founder Dave Portnoy admitted that a screenshot he previously shared showing he had been on a phone call with Earle—who went public with her romance with NFL wide receiver Braxton Berrios, 29, in May 2023—was ultimately not real.
Commenting under his Instagram post of the screenshot, he confessed, “Update—I didn’t call her. I just thought it was funny.”
